As I recalled being on a very cold morning, cold track, cold tires and first group out....he went into Turn 9-10 (Portland International Raceway) too fast and went into the spin..went on the grass and since the glass is still wet (pretty much feel like driving on ice)....instead of keeping the steering wheel stright and both feet in (brake and clutch), he tried to correct it (big mistake)...the car snap back and finally went strightinto the end of the tires wall!..if he hit the tires wall, it wouldn't be as bad but too bad as he went into the end of the concrete wall where there is no tire there at all (about 50 meters from the paved track)....the speed was over 80 mph, it doesn't take long to get there...here is the diagram (I hope you get the picture)
