STI in Auto-x this weekend

I borrow my brother STI to auto-x this weekend here in US.  The car is pretty fast.  We got 6 runs total.  I think I beat Evo7 and stock WRX.  I will post time when the result come out.

Sorry no pictures this time.  As soon as I'm done the last run I go home right away.  Baby Duty our 3rd one only a week old and my lovely wife let me go auto-x for half a day.

I will post the time draw up the map and some detail later.

Track Layout start in the middle and go left.  This is a Corvette guy track not many turn not too technical.  Good for big car with lot of HP.

Here is the detail run.  I use my brother 2004 STI.  What a nice brother I have  ;D This track is not too technical just a lot of straight way so big power car have an advantage.

1st Run.  54.604 I take it easy learn the track.  I never drive his car hard before so I really happy with power 300 HP and suspension of totally stock car.

2nd run 53.243 push a little really happy to knock down a few more than a second.

3rd run 52.936 take rpm to 6000 drop the clutch, take off fast take the turn a lot faster.  the Brembo brake really do a good job never fade and slow down when I want it to.

4th run 52.131 My best run so far.  I want to brake in to 51 second this run almost

5th run 61.237 !! what happen at the straight end before the big turn at the finish line.  At the top of 3rd gear about 90 Mph (140 Km/h) I lost control slide sideway like drifting  ;D. into the small airplane that come on runway to take off.  I wonder what did the pilot think when he see the car coming at him side way  :o .  I stop less than 10 meters from the plane.  recover get back on the track without hit any cone.

6th run last one need to get in to 51.  push too hard hit a cone run 52.108 + 1 cone.

In the end I really happy with this car for my 1st auto-x.  until next time.
